Tony Tony Tony!
I've recently become a regular awards show watcher - usually for the pretty dresses and sparkly diamonds, but the Tony's take it to the next level. Pretty things to look at AND to listen to. This year was kind of fun because it appeared to be the first Tony's in the last two years that didn't have a clear show sweep in the cards. (I'm looking at you Hamilton and Dear Evan Hansen .) What a foolish thing to think! I clearly needed to be better prepared by listening to/knowing the plot of The Band's Visit . I watched with my sweet parents who both asked me what it was about and I sadly couldn't tell them. Excuse me while I immerse myself in the cast recording for the next couple of days.
